St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Port Townsend

I made this watercolor of St. Paul's because I arrived in Port Townsend early for a birthday party for the Rev. Bob Bethea. We celebrated Bob's seventieth at Lanza's restaurant around the corner on Lawrence St.

Bob is beloved among the clergy of our diocese for his amiable drawl and his big-hearted way of taking everything in. He'll tell you what he thinks and then he'll let out a big belly laugh. There were about 30 people there of all walks of life and it was fun to be with them. Two poems were read and we sang Happy Birthday to the birthday boy. A great evening.
